1. DESCRIPTION/USE
=================================================================

This is a modder's resource sofa and chair mesh that I created. I have included a UV mapped version as well as 4 re-textures.
The UV map is the same for both the sofa and chair, so if you make a texture for the sofa, you can use it right away on the chair. This is only a modder's resource, so the sofas and chairs are not added to the main gameworld. However, I included a demo .esp that you can use to take a look at the meshes. Just copy the included .esp file and the meshes and textures folders into the correct Oblivion subdirectories. In the construction set, you can look at the meshes in the interior cell called "aaaSofaWorld". If you like, you can check out this test cell while in the game. Just open the console, type and enter "coc aaaSofaWorld" (without the quotes of course). There is no exit door in that test cell so for example you could type and enter "coc AnvilMagesGuild" in the console to teleport back out of there.
The sofas and chairs have about 635 polys each.

Update Jan 9 06 - I have improved the UV map of the Chair mesh so that the back and seat texture will no longer look squashed and distorted. The chair mesh still takes the same textures as the sofa mesh. To update, just copy and paste/overwrite the old mesh files.

2. TIPS
=================================================================
When you create your sofa and chair in the construction set, be careful that you are making a "Furniture" item which has the little chair icon next to it in the construction set and not a Static furniture item that you cannot sit on. Also, remember that you have to click an X in the checkboxes for the active markers on the chairs, otherwise you won't be able to sit on them. Please see the screenshot "furnitureSettings.jpg" for an example.

Texturing Tips:
When creating your own textures, you will need to create a normal map for each one. Without the normal map, the mesh may appear dull or black in game.
Here is a great tutorial by Shiraishi on how to create normal maps for your textures: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Normal_Maps_Basics
Here is a link to where you can download the NVIDIA Normal Map Filter Plugin for Adobe Photoshop: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html
Please also be careful that you do not include any underscores _ in your main texture's file name. Only your normal map should have _n at then end of the name. When the _ appears in the main file name, somehow the game gets confused and does not recognize which file is the normal map.

3. KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES
=================================================================
Parts of some equipped armor and weapons may clip through the sofa and chairs when you sit down.
